Halle Berry Responds to Being Mistaken For Halle Bailey
… wrong Halle lol. I can’t wait to see her too though! https://t.co/xRIjp0Juhr

For the record, Halle Berry will NOT be starring in Disney’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. On Monday, a fan tweeted, “Can’t wait to see you under da sea,” adding a mermaid emoji. The Twitter user tagged Halle, clearly mistaking the Oscar winner for Halle Bailey, who’s set to star as Ariel in The Little Mermaid in 2023. The Bruised star replied, “… wrong Halle lol. I can’t wait to see her too though!” Check out the cute exchange above!
This isn’t the first time that the two Halles were mistaken for each other. In 2019, when The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the 21-year-old singer will portray Ariel, many folks misread Halle Bailey as Halle Berry. I mean, both Halles share very similar sounding last names, so the mix-up is understandable. However, something tells us this won’t be the last time that they’ll need to set the record straight.
