Jenny McCarthy ‘Absolutely Delighted’ To Be Going Home Post Surgery
Photographer Jenny McCarthy shared an emotional health update on Instagram this week, as she documented her life changing surgery to remove a brain tumour.
Jenny, who is wife of Virgin Media broadcaster Martin King, took to her stories to share the news that she’d been discharged following a lengthy stint in Beaumont Hospital.
‘I’ve never been so grateful, grateful to have the last week behind me,’ she wrote.
This is not Jenny’s first experience battling a brain tumour, having previously had one successfully removed back in 2011. The social media star revealed last month that the tumour had returned.
Jenny has been very open on social media about her health journey, updating friends and supporters every step of the way.
‘For now it’s time to chill out in the couch and start the road to getting Jenny back to where she actually belongs,’ the photographer wrote alongside a smiley selfie with dotting husband Martin.
Jenny also said that she’s been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of good wishes she’s been sent her way over the last week.
‘Thank you too every single one of you for saying prayers and lighting candles ❤️ To my husband and family ❤️’ she continued on in the tear-jerking update.
Friends were quick to pay tribute to Jenny on social media.
‘You’re some trooper Jen 👏👏 get martin to crack open the bottle of sambuca ❤️❤️❤️’ presenter Glenda Gilson joked under the post.
‘Oh Jenny, so happy you’re home and that it’s done. Sending you love.’ IrelandAM star Muireann O’Connell wrote, sending love to her colleagues wife.
‘Please god I don’t have to come back,’ Jenny wrote in her latest Instagram story, clearly eager to get home.
